KT and Microsoft (MS) are going beyond corporate partnerships to engage in hyper-collaboration to enhance Korea's artificial intelligence (A)I capabilities. The plan is to provide AI education to all citizens interested in AI and contribute to improving the level of "national AI literacy" (the ability to understand and utilize AI technology).

On the 26th, KT announced that KT CEO Kim Young-seop and Microsoft CEO and Chairman of the Board Satya Nadella met and exchanged opinions on accelerating the industry's AX (AI transition). The explanation is that they discussed agenda items that will help strengthen the country's AI competitiveness, such as the partnership between the two companies as well as the AI ​​Skilling Initiative (leading AI education).

CEO Satya Nadella arrived at Seoul Airport on the 25th and met with Amorepacific Chairman Suh Kyung-bae, CEO Kim Young-seop, and HD Hyundai Senior Vice Chairman Chung Ki-sun in succession. This is the first time in two years that a MS CEO has visited Korea. CEO Satya Nadella's official purpose of visiting Korea is to participate in the 'AI Tour in Seoul' (AI Tour). Through this event, MS unveiled two AI agents that applied the reasoning model to MS 365 Copilot for the first time in the world. The AI ​​Tour is an AI event hosted by MS in Korea, which opened this morning at the Yangjae aT Center in Seoul.



KT, which signed a strategic partnership with MS in September of last year, also attended the event. KT disclosed the progress made since signing the partnership with MS. The KT exhibition hall, which consists of two booths in the AI ​​Tour Premium Partner Zone, is representative.



The exhibits include six items: △GPT-4o-based custom model △Public cloud KT SPC (KT Secure Public Cloud) △'Carbon Emissions Management Assistant' for automating carbon emission calculation △'GPUaaS' that allocates cloud resources as needed △MS Copilot-based business innovation case △AI agent Works AI.

On this day, CEO Satya Nadella announced in his AI Tour keynote speech that he would promote a nationwide AI skilling initiative with KT. The two companies have been forming a consensus on the need to establish AI education centers and provide specialized education curricula.

KT plans to launch the AX Delivery Center (tentative name), an elite organization in the AX business within the company, and promote AX innovation in Korea in cooperation with MS experts. KT plans



to hold the AX Leader Summit periodically with the goal of expanding the domestic AX ecosystem. KT said, "We want to create a place for free communication between companies that want to share their experiences of innovation and transplant AX DNA into Korea."
