KGM, 'Musso EV' box office success... Cumulative contracts exceed 3,200 units in 2 weeks since launch

KG Mobility (KGM) announced on the 19th that the urban electric pickup truck 'Musso EV', which was released on the 5th, exceeded 3,200 cumulative contracts in just two weeks of the main contract.

According to KGM's analysis of 'Musso EV' contract customers, the model most frequently selected by customers was the Black Edge 2WD (two-wheel drive).



The top trim, Black Edge, had the highest selection rate at 55%, and the entry trim, MX, also showed balanced demand with 45%. The selection rate of the AWD (four-wheel drive) model was about 40%, reflecting the demand of customers who consider powerful performance and driving performance in various road environments.



By customer type, individual customers accounted for 45%, and small business owners and self-employed customers accounted for 55%. The company analyzed that it is receiving a favorable response from various customer groups that value practicality in that it has ample deck space that can transport cargo and load leisure goods, and high economy from purchase to use.



By age group, the proportion of those in their 50s (38.3%) with high vehicle purchasing power was the highest, and by gender, males (88.6%) took up an overwhelming proportion, showing a similar trend to the main customer base of the pickup market.



The exterior preference was Grand White (54%), Space Black (23%), Blazing Gold (9%), Marble Gray (7%), and Amazonia Green (5%) in that order. The popular optional options were ▲Utility Roof Rack ▲Safety Sunroof ▲△3D Around View Monitoring System.



The online-only model, 'Musso EV Special Edition (SE),' also proved its popularity by selling out in just 1 hour and 30 minutes after its release. The average age of customers who contracted the model was 44.7 years old and the AWD selection rate was approximately 60%.



A KGM official said, "Despite the ongoing electric vehicle chasm (temporary stagnation in demand), the market response seems to be more positive than expected as expectations for an economical electric pickup model are added to its usability."
