MINI Korea held a launch event for 'The New All-Electric MINI Family' at the MINI Driving Center on Yeongjongdo, Incheon on the 13th and announced the official launch of three electric vehicles.



The models unveiled this time are a total of three: △The New All-Electric MINI Aceman, a purely electric compact sports utility vehicle (SUV), △The New All-Electric MINI Cooper, a purely electric city model, and △MINI's first purely electric family car, the New All-Electric MINI Countryman.

MINI Korea sold only 761 units in its first year of official launch in 2005, but has shown steady growth since then, selling 126,113 units last year, a 165-fold increase from the first year.

The new all-electric MINI Aceman, a purely electric compact SUV with both style and practicality



. The new all-electric MINI Aceman is a compact SUV positioned between the new MINI Cooper and the new MINI Countryman. It is the first MINI model to be launched only as a purely electric model. It is based on a platform dedicated to electric vehicles and features the BMW Group's 5.5-generation high-voltage system.

The new all-electric MINI Aceman features a fresh design, spaciousness, and excellent usability while maintaining the signature MINI sensibility. The body is 4085mm in length and 1515mm in height, showing a lower and longer proportion than a typical SUV. This has created a silhouette that is sleeker than an SUV and space usability at the level of an SUV.



The new all-electric MINI Ace Man is launched with two powertrains, 'E' and 'SE'. The 'E Classic' trim is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum output of 184 horsepower and a maximum torque of 29.6 kg m. The 'SE Favored' trim is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum output of 218 horsepower and a maximum torque of 33.7 kg m, reaching 100 km/h from a standstill in just 7.1 seconds.



The new all-electric MINI Ace Man delivers MINI's unique 'go-kart' feel and differentiated driving experience even in the era of electrification through a body design that considers low center of gravity and dynamism, the instant acceleration characteristic of electric motors, and precise steering response.



Both models are equipped with a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 54.2 kilowatt-hours (kWh). The driving distance on a single charge is 405 km according to the European WLTP standard and 312 km according to the domestic standard. It takes about 31 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80% using a rapid charger.

The new all-electric MINI Countryman is launched with two powertrains and three trims. The new all-electric MINI Countryman SE ALL4 is an all-wheel drive model equipped with two electric motors. It offers the agile responsiveness and high driving stability characteristic of electric vehicles, and generates a powerful maximum output of 313 horsepower and a maximum torque of 50.4 kg m. This is a better performance than the previous generation internal combustion engine high-performance model, the MINI JCW Countryman, and boasts an acceleration power of reaching 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds from a standstill. The new all-electric MINI Countryman E is equipped with an electric motor on the front axle that generates a maximum output of 204 horsepower and a maximum torque of 25.5 kg m.



All models are equipped with a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 66.5 kWh installed under the vehicle body. The range on a single charge is 462 km for the new all-electric MINI Countryman E (WLTP standard) and 349 km for Korea, and 432 km for the new all-electric MINI Countryman SE ALL4 (WLTP standard) and 326 km for Korea. It takes about 29 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80% using a rapid charger.

A high-voltage battery with a capacity of 54.2 kWh is installed in the lower part of the body, and the driving range on a single charge is 400 km according to the WLTP standard and 300 km according to the domestic standard. It takes about 30 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80% with a rapid charger.



A circular OLED display that integrates key functions and the latest operating system provide an unrivaled digital experience



The most notable feature of the new all-electric MINI family is the central display that provides an innovative digital experience. Equipped with a 240 mm diameter circular OLED display, which was introduced for the first time in the automobile industry through collaboration between MINI and Samsung Display, it can be used familiarly and comfortably as if using a smartphone with clear and vivid picture quality and quick response.



The 'MINI Experience Mode', which can be selected from up to eight types according to personal preference, creates a unique and immersive atmosphere by presenting the screen graphics, interface, and ambient lighting projected onto the dashboard with different concepts.
